Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Diesel Technician to support a modern fleet of vacuum trucks and hydro excavation equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and basic diagnostics to keep equipment safe, compliant, and ready for customers.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of diesel or heavy equipment experience.
• Strong understanding of PMs, brakes, suspension, and general repairs.
• Basic diagnostic ability (mechanical and electrical).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• CDL is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repairs on diesel/heavy equipment.
• Execute daily work assignments based on the Plan of the Day.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine repairs.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues; escalate complex problems as needed.
• Complete standard service work including filters, fluids, bag changes, and general upkeep.
• Ensure required parts are available prior to starting jobs.
• Fleet operations & documentation (Check-In / Check-Out inspections).
• Maintain accurate records in Fleetio and submit daily documentation.
