Darling Ingredients is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Fleet Mechanic III to join the Boise, ID team. This role offers a Monday–Friday day shift, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

You will service a diverse fleet of trucks and heavy equipment, diagnose complex problems, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualified candidates have 5+ years of diesel/heavy equipment experience (or 3 years with vocational training), own their tools, and possess strong diagnostic

Formación

• 5+ years of mechanic experience on diesel trucks/trailers/heavy equipment or 3 years with vocational training
• Own tools and diagnostic/troubleshooting skills
• CDL preferred but not required

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Mentor junior mechanics as needed
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and service
• Support fleet reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Use OEM diagnostic software and tools for troubleshooting and calibration
• Maintain service records and complete work orders
• Respond to roadside service calls when required
• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and plant equipment
