Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic 3 to keep our fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment roadworthy and ready for service. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs, diagnose issues, and ensure clean, organized work areas.

This role requires interpreting repair manuals, handling roadside calls when needed, and adhering to safety rules. CDL is preferred but not required; vocational training plus 3 years or 5 years of related experience are accepted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, vocational training preferred.
• Three years related work experience OR five years related experience.
• Ability to service and diagnose brakes on diesel trucks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repair on fleet trucks/trailers and other equipment; maintains a clean work environment.
• May answer roadside calls for disabled vehicles.
• Interprets repair manuals and work orders for proper repair.
• Follows safety rules and participates in safety meetings.
