Job summary

Suncore Construction and Materials in Boise, ID is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our construction equipment fleet on the swing shift. The role covers routine engine maintenance, hydraulic and electrical system troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues across excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks.

You will read manuals and schematics, inspect parts, and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot faults.

Qualifications

• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in construction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks.
• Perform inspections to identify worn or damaged parts that need repair or replacement.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine fault codes using diagnostic equipment and tools.
