Job summary

Aggreko seeks a Diesel Generator Technician based in Richmond, VA. You will install, calibrate, and service power generation equipment, including generators, switchgear, and related systems, ensuring safety and reliability for diverse client sites.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair equipment at customer locations or in the service center. A strong background with diesel engines and electrical systems is essential for success.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED required.
7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
May be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Based in Richmond, VA service center; perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and repair of Aggreko's electrical power distribution equipment.
Work overtime and weekends; travel may be required.
Maintain and service power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors.
Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop or customer locations and perform repairs.
Work solo or with a team to set up and operate equipment at shop and customer sites.
