Job summary

MasterTech in Portland, OR is seeking Automotive and Fleet Technicians to join a growing maintenance and repair team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles and commercial equipment ranging from light-duty to heavy-duty applications.

This hands-on role favors experienced technicians who can work independently, diagnose issues effectively, and deliver quality repairs. It is not an entry-level position, and the successful candidate will contribute quickly and confidently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive, fleet, diesel, or commercial vehicle technician.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet quality standards.
• Not entry-level; requires practical hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles and commercial equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on brakes, steering, engines, transmissions, and other systems.
• Complete work orders and maintain clear service documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following PPE procedures.
• Communicate professionally with team members and management.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
