Job summary

Sysco Foods is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to provide safe, reliable preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on company vehicles to reduce downtime and improve total fleet reliability.

Responsibilities include performing annual inspections (FAI/CVI), diagnosing and repairing systems, following work orders, and learning Sysco computer programs. Excellent benefits and a move-forward career with Sysco are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-year school plus 1 year of experience or 3 years in fleet maintenance and repair

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance and repairs on all fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly and efficiently.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and repair to manufacturer specifications (engines, transmissions, electrical, etc.).
• Document all work on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
