Job summary

Sysco is hiring a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert diagnostics on a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment. The role focuses on maximizing safety, reliability, and uptime through accurate inspections, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

You will use computer-based diagnostic tools and adhere to regulations and company procedures. The position requires heavy-duty vehicle training and a high school diploma or GED, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have medium/heavy duty truck technical training and a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of related school plus one year of experience or three years in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Relevant ASE certifications preferred but not required; 609 HVAC certification noted.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs to manufacturer specs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Document all work on work orders and follow Sysco procedures.
• Utilize computer-based diagnostics and be proficient with required tools.
