Job summary

Sysco Indianapolis is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, follow manufacturer specifications, and document all work orders.

The role requires a CDL (preferred) and a background in medium/heavy-duty truck maintenance. The position offers a full-time schedule with a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift, comprehensive benefits, and a $600 tool allowance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required).
• Medium/heavy-duty truck technical training.
• 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair OR 2 years of school and 1 year of experience.
• ASE certifications; automotive or medium/heavy-duty trucks (preferred, not required).
• 609 HVAC Certification; working knowledge of OEM diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform annual inspections on fleet vehicles per federal/state/local requirements.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet vehicles and related equipment.
• Perform repairs to manufacturer specifications to maintain safety and reliability.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly and effectively.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, clutches, drive-lines, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Document all work performed on work orders.
