Job summary

Sysco Connecticut, LLC is seeking an apprentice Fleet Technician to assist with safe, reliable vehicles by learning preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs. The role emphasizes learning to diagnose issues and perform quality repairs under supervision, aiming to minimize downtime and extend fleet life.

Training includes CVI inspections and hands-on experience with multiple vehicle systems. Entry-level prospects with a High School diploma or equivalent and basic tooling are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems on equipment.
• Welding and cutting skills (gas, electric, MIG, TIG) helpful.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Learn to conduct annual CVI inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Assist in repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Document all work orders with accurate details.
