Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Diesel/Heavy-Duty Technician for the 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) in Colorado. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment, with responsibilities including PMs, electrical diagnostics, and onboard computer work.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of vehicle repair experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to document work orders and perform road calls as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience in PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Inspect brakes, steering, bearings and replace worn parts as needed.
• Ensure roadworthiness through licensing and registration checks.
• Document all repairs and maintenance in the system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and related components.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Train other employees on maintenance procedures.
• Carry out road call services as required.
• Complete all related duties as assigned.
