Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor/Writer in a diesel, heavy-duty truck or commercial fleet environment.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines (Cummins, Paccar, Detroit, Volvo-Mack, Powerstroke, Duramax) and heavy-duty truck systems.
• Experience with shop management and scheduling software such as Fullbay or Mitchell1.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and accurately document symptoms on the repair order.
• Coordinate scheduling with the shop foreman to maximize shop efficiency.
• Calculate labor, parts and timelines; source heavy-duty parts and provide quotes for approval.
• Translate diesel mechanics jargon into clear terms for customers and fleet managers.
• Keep customers and fleet operators updated on repair status and any additions.
• Maintain records of interactions, authorizations, and final invoices.
