Job summary

ADCOCK BROTHERS AUTO TRANSPORT INC in Manheim, PA seeks a Heavy-Duty Diesel Service Advisor / Service Writer to translate customer concerns into repair orders for diesel technicians, schedule work, and provide cost estimates. You will keep fleet owners informed through the repair process, source heavy-duty parts, and maintain detailed service records and invoices.

Experience with Fullbay or Mitchell1 is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor/Writer in a diesel/heavy-duty fleet environment.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines (Cummins, Paccar, Detroit, Volvo-Mack, Powerstroke, Duramax) and heavy-duty truck systems (air brakes, aftertreatment, heavy suspensions).
• Experience with shop management and scheduling software such as Fullbay or Mitchell1.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to manage frustrated customers and negotiate service sales.
• Attention to detail in tracking parts orders, warranty claims, and multiple fleet accounts.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and document symptoms on the RO.
• Coordinate service scheduling to optimize shop efficiency.
• Produce accurate labor, parts, and timeline estimates with quotes.
• Translate diesel jargon into clear customer language.
• Provide repair status updates to owner-operators and fleets, and obtain approvals for additional work.
• Maintain detailed records and invoices.
