Job summary

US Foods is seeking a diesel mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, and repair diesel equipment such as tractors, trailers, and lift gates. The role requires hands-on experience and the ability to perform preventive maintenance per DOT standards.

You will document repairs and coordinate with vendors when needed. The position offers a schedule Sunday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with benefits including 401K with match and day-one medical coverage.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for equipment repairs.
• Ability to read/write and attend trainings; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and repair diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventive maintenance within DOT standards.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and partners on plans of action.
