Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet, including heavy-duty tractors and trailers. You’ll diagnose hydraulic, air, and electrical systems, and work with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems, including hybrid and electric powertrains. You will operate manual transmission vehicles, use diagnostic tools, and perform welding and cutting as needed.

Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Automotive Mechanic experience working with medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Active Driver's License and DOT requirements compliance.
• Willingness to work night shifts (7:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m.).
• Experience with diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and PCs.
• Hands-on fleet repair experience, welding and cutting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors and trailers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems and engine controls.
• Work on diesel, gasoline and alternative propulsion systems including CNG, LNG, propane, hybrid and electric systems where applicable.
• Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles.
• Operate power and pneumatic tools.
• Perform assigned tasks involving bending, stooping, kneeling and other physical duties.
• Report to work regularly and punctually.
