Job summary

SRM Concrete, a national leader in ready mix concrete, is hiring Fleet Mechanics to maintain our fleet of mixer trucks and heavy equipment. We offer on-the-job training for newcomers and training to stay current with diesel technology, while emphasizing safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies in workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate maintenance/repair records in company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
