City of Lansing seeks four Fleet Mechanic positions in the Fleet Services Division. Responsibilities include maintenance, repairs, and installation on City trucks and equipment; CDL B with Air Brakes and N endorsement is required within 90 days.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Four years of experience repairing medium/heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Two years welding/fabrication experience.
• ASE Master Medium/Heavy Certification is highly preferred.
• Two year certification in heavy trucks is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Mount and repair specialized equipment; design and fabricate devices.
• Inspect vehicles for issues and service them in all weather conditions.
• Install equipment on trucks including plows, frames, and other bodies.
• Maintain records of garage activities daily.
