Job summary
DJ's Landscape Management in Holland, MI is seeking a Fleet Mechanic for 2nd or 3rd shift. You will service a wide range of equipment from diesel engines to large trucks and trailers, diagnose problems, and perform repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
The role requires hands-on skills, a willingness to train and collaborate with teammates, and strict adherence to safety and maintenance procedures. A valid driver's license is required and the company offers benefits and development
Qualifications
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment across a fleet including 2-cycle engines to Class A trucks.
- Perform front end suspension, tire changes, brakes, and preventive maintenance.
- Support operations with on-site and field repairs; document work.
- Winter shifts may include overnight snow operations; work with others to cover schedules.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, recommend, and repair front end suspension, tires, brakes, and preventive maintenance.
- Complete PM checks and inspect equipment for repair needs.
- Support operations with field repairs, communicate with operators, and educate them when possible.
- Participate in rotating winter shift for snow operations.
- Maintain organization of stock, parts, tools, and shop areas.
