Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician at the Hardin County Hauling Campus in Elizabethtown, KY. This role runs 2pm–4am, Monday–Friday, focusing on inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to keep our fleet safe and operational.

You will diagnose issues, perform component replacements, and ensure fluids and safety systems are maintained. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude and ability to document work and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle components.
• In-depth knowledge of heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.
• Ability to document maintenance work and parts used clearly and accurately.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose issues and complete necessary repairs and component replacements.
• Check and change fluids and filters; inspect electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified for the vehicle type.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and accurate records of time and parts used.
