Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Kentucky is seeking Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technicians to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet to keep trucks safe and reliable. You will read manuals and schematics, use basic computer tools, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6PM-8AM with overtime as needed. Ideal candidates demonstrate attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and the ability to complete DOT forms.

Qualifications

• Experience reading repair manuals, diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per company schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles and related systems.
• Check, fill, and/or change fluids and filters.
• Inspect and overhaul vehicle support systems such as electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified for the vehicle type.
• Ensure safety devices are in good working order.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Interact professionally with customers and teammates.
