Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking an In-Shop Diesel Technician in El Paso, TX to perform engine repairs, preventative maintenance and diagnostics in a shop setting. You will document work accurately and assist with parts, tooling, and safety practices.

Applicants should be prepared to complete training on Cummins products, maintain a clean work area, and travel to sites as needed. A valid driver’s license is required and a sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained engine technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from a technical institution.
• Locally valid driving permit preferred and required license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engines and related equipment in a service shop.
• Perform preventative maintenance based on engine assessment using diagnostic software.
• Prepare parts and tools, document work and warranty claims in systems or forms.
• Travel to locations requiring service support as needed.
