Job summary

Hawthorne Cat is seeking a Machinery Service Tech 1 (Rentals) to diagnose and repair Caterpillar and allied equipment with minimal supervision. You will remove and install parts, perform updates, and document repairs daily.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2–5 years' experience in heavy equipment repair, plus the ability to obtain crane and forklift certifications as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
2-5 years of experience in the repair of Caterpillar products or other heavy equipment.
Apprenticeship or technical school in diesel technology.

Responsibilities

Analyze and diagnose issues on Caterpillar and allied equipment.
Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, and test assemblies.
Perform Caterpillar updates as directed by Caterpillar, Inc.
Document diagnosis and repairs with daily service reports.
Adhere to safety policies and complete tasks with minimal rework.
