Job summary

US Farathane in Tennessee is seeking an experienced Die Setter to oversee machine set-ups for die-related operations, including primary and secondary equipment, with attention to scheduled and unscheduled changes.

You’ll ensure efficient molding processes, maintain tooling, and cooperate with teams to uphold quality and safety standards. This role offers you the opportunity to contribute to a long-standing plastics manufacturing legacy.

Qualifications

• Experience with mold changes and die-related setup.
• Ability to perform scheduled and unscheduled mold and die changes.
• Strong adherence to OSHA safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all mold changes per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes.
• Responsible for the proper set-up of all die-related functions (watering of the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Repair any fluid or air leaks related to the die.
• Handle die insert changes and die halves for repair.
• Pull and reset die halves for die repair.
• Load and unload die-carrying trucks.
• Maintain orderly die storage and supplies.
• Order and organize die-setting supplies and remove used items from molding machines.
• Initial shooting of all die sets where applicable.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed, submitted and filed timely.
• Follow OSHA/safety rules and USF policies.
