Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced 1st Shift Die Setter to manage machine set-ups and die-related functions on a fast-paced plastics manufacturing line. The role covers mold changes, water/ hydraulics/ pneumatic set-ups, and die repair tasks as part of a scheduled and unscheduled maintenance approach.

Candidates should be safety-focused, able to lift up to 45 lbs, and comfortable following precise instructions.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or GED; or six months to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Safety conscious and PPE required
• Lock-out tag-out training required
• Capable of lifting 45 pounds
• Capable of mold changes within 1 hour
• Hi Lo License, Rigging, and crane training are required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mold changes per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes
• Set up all die-related functions such as waterin g the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Repair any fluid or air leaks relating to the die
• Perform die insert changes
• Pull and reset all die halves for die repair
• Load/unload die carrying trucks
• Maintain die storage in orderly condition
• Order and organize die setting supplies
• Initial shooting of all die sets where applicable
• Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed promptly
• Follow OSHA and safety rules and USF policies
