Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Walker, MI is seeking a Die Setter to set up and change dies on large and small presses, ensuring quality parts per JES and setup sheets. You will implement safety standards, follow Quality Policy, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

The role requires die setting experience, metal stamping background, and ability to stand long hours. Third shift: 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday, at the Walker plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Metal stamping experience preferred.
• Die setting in stamping preferred.
• Lockout/tagout experience preferred.
• Press operating experience preferred.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours; willing to work long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and changes dies on presses per JES and die set up sheets to ensure quality parts.
• Explains how the role supports the Quality Policy and customer satisfaction.
• Participates in preventative actions, documents non-conformities and supports improvements.
• Operates dies/tools, threads metal strip, loads dies/tools and applies die protection devices.
• Maintains housekeeping and adheres to safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Works third shift: 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday at the Walker, MI plant.
