Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a press die setter/operator for our Holland, MI Plant 4 on a Y shift. You will set up dies for 200–2500 ton presses, follow JES sheets, and ensure parts meet our Quality Standards and production schedules.

You will understand and implement our Quality Policy, work within the Quality Management System, log non-conformities, and participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts. Requires English proficiency and basic reading/writing skills.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English to safely perform duties.
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• One to three months related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Metal stamping experience preferred.
• Die setting in stamping preferred.
• Lockout/tagout experience preferred.
• Press operating experience preferred.
• Demonstrates responsibility, accuracy and integrity in work.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and changes dies on progressive, secondary and transfer presses (200 to 2500 Ton) per JES and die set up sheets to ensure quality parts.
• Understands and explains the company Quality Policy and how the role impacts customer satisfaction.
• Follows and supports the Quality Management System and document architecture.
• Identifies non-conformities and logs them; participates in corrective actions and problem solving.
• Performs housekeeping and maintains a safe, clean work area.
• Complies with safety, environmental, regulatory and company requirements.
