Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI is seeking a Die Setter to set up and change dies on 200–2500 ton presses, ensuring quality parts per JES and engineering specs. You will operate and monitor presses, identify non-conformities, and support safety and housekeeping within the shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic reading and math skills, and 1–3 months of related training or experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 months of related experience or training; equivalent education acceptable.
Metal stamping or die-setting experience preferred.
Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
Press operating experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Sets up and changes dies on progressive, secondary, and transfer presses per JES and setup sheets to ensure quality parts meet standards, schedules, and engineering specs.
Explain and follow the company’s Quality Policy and document non-conformities in the QMS.
Participate in preventative actions, corrective actions, and problem solving analyses as required.
Contribute to housekeeping, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Clamp dies/tools, feed guides, guardings, and position blanks; load dies/tools with metal blanks; operate the line up to 12 hours/day including weekends.
