Job summary

AmTab in Bensenville, IL designs and manufactures modern learning environments and is seeking a Die Maker who values precision and reliability. You will build and repair progressive and single-station dies, and create tooling that supports furniture production.

You will develop tooling layouts and drawings, maintain dies, and lead maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives across tooling, products, and processes to ensure safety, durability, and uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and certifications.
• 3+ years of experience as Tool & Die Maker/Machinist or closely related role.
• Proven Tool and Die experience (non-negotiable).

Responsibilities

• Build and repair: progressive dies and single-station dies for production.
• Jigs and fixtures: develop, maintain, and improve tooling that supports furniture manufacturing.
• Documentation: produce tooling layouts, detailed drawings, and final assembly documentation.
• Maintenance: sharpen and service dies to maintain tight tolerances and uptime.
• Improvement: lead continuous improvement initiatives across tooling, products, and processes.
