MiTek in Tolleson, AZ is seeking an experienced Die Changeover Technician to support stamping operations. The role covers die setup, changeovers, tooling maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring dies are production-ready to meet schedules.

The position requires following safety policies, maintaining quality, and providing support to Die Setters. Strong teamwork and overtime flexibility are essential for success at MiTek.

Qualifications

• Safety policies and procedures must be followed.
• Maintain quality by monitoring accuracy and thoroughness.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Take responsibility and meet productivity standards.
• Communicate professionally with co-workers, vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Change various components inside the die.
• Remove and install die sections.
• Work with Tool and Die for tool sharpening.
• Troubleshoot forming, punch and progression issues.
• Perform tooling changes according to schedules.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Assemble components per documentation to tight tolerances.
• Verify correct die per customer specification on work order.
• Identify and respond to nonconforming parts.
• Visually inspect parts for quality.
• Provide Die Setters support as workload allows.
• Train others as needed.
• Coordinate with planners to ensure dies are ready to run.
• Communicate with management to plan for issues.
• Monitor press, tooling and secondary systems during manufacturing.
• Attend all scheduled shifts and overtime as required.
