Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Senior Process Control Technician for the die casting line in Cedarburg, WI. You will monitor critical process parameters, reduce defects, and maximize first-pass yields on a 3rd shift production floor.

The role requires 2+ years in process control or troubleshooting, with a history of stable employment and U.S. work authorization. This is a full-time, direct-hire position offering competitive hourly earnings and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical diploma or vocational degree in manufacturing technology or metallurgy preferred.
• Must have 2+ years of tenure at each previous employer.
• 2+ years of process control or technical troubleshooting in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Process Parameters: track melt temperatures, shot profiles, injection speeds, pressures, cycle times, and die lubrication.
• Analyze & Resolve Casting Defects: perform root-cause analysis on porosity, cold shuts, soldering, blisters, flash, misruns, and shrinkage.
• Optimize Machine Parameters: set up, tune, and validate die casting process parameters for new launches and existing runs.
• Maintain Process Standardization: create and update setup sheets and operating instructions for setup techs and operators.
• Execute Production Trials: collaborate with quality and engineering to validate changes and reduce scrap.
• Support Quality & Inspection: use real-time monitoring systems and review X-ray data to meet specs.
• Train Floor Personnel: coach operators and setup techs on standardized parameters.
