Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a production associate to operate die casting machinery, ensuring safety and quality while meeting customer specifications. The role requires attention to detail, ability to use gauges, and accurate documentation of work performed.

The position is full-time, with day and night shifts, and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules.

  • Complete required reports and paperwork for each job.
  • Ensure correct box quantities and job counts.
  • Apply 5-S principles to keep area orderly and safe.
  • Meet or exceed efficiency requirements.
  • Participate in CIP for safety and quality improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement culture.

Description

Day Shift-5:45am-4:15pm

Night Shift-7:45pm-6:15am

Purpose: Run production die casting machines to produce quality parts to print to meet customer expectations and requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others.Follow all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment tosafety program.
  • Ensure part quality is in accordance with inspection report
  • Accurately complete reports and all necessary paper work for the jobs
  • Responsible for correct full box quantities and job counts
  • Utilizes the 5-S principles (sort, set in order,shine, standardize, and sustain) to maintain an orderly, clean and safework area.
  • Ability to regularly meet or exceed efficiency requirements
  • Actively participates in CIP events to improve the safety, quality, and efficiencies of our current processes and procedures
  • Support and positivelycontribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Communicates with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner
  • Will berequired to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Manufacturing experience desired but not required

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use measuring instruments, such as gage pins, scales, etc.
  • Ability to follow work instructions
  • Must be detail oriented, with the ability to recognize defects and non-conformities
Physical Demands
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs, rarely lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand up to 100% of shift
  • Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking)
