Job summary

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is seeking Die Cast Set-Up Operators to join our team across three shifts at our Elgin, IL facility. You will set dies, adjust machine parameters, and follow detailed setup charts to ensure efficient operation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and some die casting experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform basic maintenance as needed. This is a full‑time, on‑site role offering competitive shift pay and benefits.

Position Overview

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is looking for hard‑working and reliable Die Cast Set‑Up Operators to work all three shifts as part of a global leader in precision die casting.

Shift Pay and Hours

• 1st Shift Pay: $25‑30/hr; Hours: 7:00 am‑3:30 pm
• 2nd Shift Pay: $27.50‑33/hr; Hours: 3:00 pm‑11:30 pm
• 3rd Shift Pay: $28.75‑34.50/hr; Hours: 11:00 pm‑7:30 am

Key Responsibilities

• Set die into machine and make adjustments to program settings as needed.
• Follow established set‑up chart instructions.
• Write new set‑up instructions for new tools.
• Problem‑solve machine/set‑up parameters based on observed defects.
• Ensure the die is running properly; gather firstoff pieces following set‑up and deliver to quality for inspection.
• Observe and monitor assigned casting/molding machine operations.
• Check product quality for excessive flash, surface finish, and other defects.
• Frequently lift, carry, and move material up to 50 lbs.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or GED, and/or 3‑6 months related experience or training preferred. Proven experience in die casting machine operation required. Ability to perform general maintenance tasks and mechanical aptitude is a must.
