Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts in Sacramento, CA is seeking a full-time nurse educator to teach didactic classes in-person for the Vocational Nursing program, collaborate with faculty, and support program development on campus.

The role requires an active RN or LVN license and a BSN or ADN with several years of nursing experience; the campus emphasizes ongoing education, compliance with standards, and alignment with medical education requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with active licensure.
• Bachelor's degree (BSN) or associate degree (ASN/ADN) in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with an Associate’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Didactic classes in-person at the Gurnick Campus for our Vocational Nursing program.
• Meet with didactic and clinical faculty members to discuss program development.
• Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator in the organization of the program and implementation of the program's standards.
• Maintain continuous knowledge of medical education and assure about the facilities continuous medical education requirements.
