Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to support the hemodialysis health care team in St. Louis, MO. You will ensure quality patient care daily, adhering to FMCNA policies and CQI activities.

You will educate patients on ESRD, dialysis therapy, labs, and treatment adherence, while supervising patient care technicians and coordinating with physicians to maintain safe, effective care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing and dialysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs Patient Care Technician’s safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy.
• Delegates tasks to direct patient care staff including LVN/LPNs and dialysis assistants.
• Assesses daily patient care needs and assigns appropriate care.
• Monitors staff techniques and adherence to policy.
• Provides patient education on ESRD, dialysis therapy, diet, fluids, and medications.
