Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Orangeburg, SC seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients in an ESRD setting.

You will perform duties under supervision, collect patient data during hemodialysis, educate patients and families, administer medications as prescribed, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing data collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and document in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs and care plans.
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy with other care staff.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
