Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in South Carolina seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP1 to join the Outpatient CAP. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for an assigned group of ESRD patients under supervision, with potential delegation to RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

You will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities as part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, and complete CAP requirements to advance your nursing career.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis treatment and documents in the patient medical record.
Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family’s learning needs to provide education.
Directs and provides safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents justification and effectiveness.
