Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

You’ll assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care, collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs and patient care technicians, while supporting teaching, leadership and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under supervision with guidance from the Clinical Educator and RN team.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in medical records.
• Educates patients and family on basic care and treatment options.
• Delivers safe, effective hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administers medications per protocol and documents effectiveness.
• Participates in staff training and quality improvement activities.
• Ensures proper lab collection procedures and reschedules missed labs.
• Assists with emergency response measures as needed.
