Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator or RN leadership.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in the medical record; adjusts care as needed.
• Assesses learning needs of patient/family and provides initial and ongoing education.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents rationale and effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures as needed.
• Serves as a resource and participates in staff training and orientation.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and shipping procedures.
