Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse (RN CAP 1) for inpatient services. The role provides nursing care, patient assessment, treatment planning and coordination within a dialysis program.

As part of the CAP, you will participate in education, leadership activities and quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and program operations. Travel and on-call rotations may be required as part of program needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
• Must meet the practice requirements in all states in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision and guidance of the Educator/Preceptor or RN supervisor.
• Collect and analyze patient data before, during, and after treatment and adjust care plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and learning needs.
• Communicate patient status changes to the health team for continuity of care.
• Deliver safe, effective care for dialysis patients according to prescribed protocols.
• Coordinate with facility staff to ensure treatment continuity and timely documentation.
• Manage medications and monitor patient responses, including adverse reactions.
• Participate in staff training and contribute to quality improvement activities.
