Job summary

Dialyze Direct is seeking a Registered Nurse in Texas to deliver high-quality dialysis care across day shifts. The role emphasizes independence, critical thinking, and collaboration with nephrology teams to support patient outcomes.

The position requires a valid RN license, exposure to hemodialysis, BLS, and ability to lift 35 pounds. Expect travel to nearby locations and a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, day shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required.
• 6 months RN experience strongly preferred.
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience.
• In TX, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within last 24 months.
• BLS certification required.
• Ishihara color vision test required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, training, and home support with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with Dialyze Direct team members and facility staff.
• Record patient health data before/during/after hemodialysis.
• Develop and follow a care plan to meet outcomes.
• Document interventions in EMR.
• Collect, process, and ship lab samples as needed.
• Handle clerical tasks and chart creation while caring for patients.
• Maintain a positive, respectful attitude with patients and colleagues.
• Occasionally travel to nearby locations.
• Administer medications and document administration.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Full Time
• Day shift only

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• In the state of Texas, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within the last 24 months
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Successful passing of an Ishihara color vision test;
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
