Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the dialysis treatment team and provide care for patients with end-stage renal disease.

You will assist clinicians, monitor vitals, prepare equipment, and help deliver prescribed treatments in a patient-centered setting. You will work under RN supervision, participate in infection control, education plans, and routine documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
• Role under RN supervision
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
• Insert and remove patient access needles
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights
• Maintain and track inventory
• Perform laboratory work
