Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the dialysis treatment process in our Philadelphia clinic.

The role participates in infection control, patient education and care under RN supervision, with a 120‑day education plan and a 25‑hour weekly schedule, Sundays off, and no overnight shifts. Pay ranges from $22 to $27 per hour and includes paid 12‑week training, comprehensive benefits, life insurance, PTO/holidays, and a retirement plan with employer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3‑month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one‑on‑one skills training.
• Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120‑day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
