Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the dialysis treatment process under RN supervision. The role involves infection control, patient education, vitals collection, and blood system setup and teardown in a high-care setting with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

Compensation ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, based on healthcare experience. Benefits include paid training, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, PTO, retirement matching, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
