Job summary

US Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team in Hawaii. You will work under RN/Charge Nurse supervision to provide safe, high-quality dialysis treatment, gather patient stats, and collect samples per orders.

You will prep machines, disinfect, perform safety checks, and log results, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a desire to help patients, and experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA; color

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national certification within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Patient care: work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment; gather stats before/after treatment; initiate, monitor, and terminate treatment; collect blood samples per physician orders.
• Technician duties: prepare machines for hemodialysis, clean and disinfect after treatment, conduct machine safety checks and logging; ensure compliance with all protocols and regulations.
• Safety and quality: use PPE, follow company policies, and participate in staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
