Job summary

Health Systems Management is hiring Patient Care Technicians (PCT) for West Iredell Dialysis Center in Statesville, NC. The position is full-time and involves supporting dialysis treatment under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of healthcare or direct patient care experience.
• High school diploma required.
• Must pass the CCHT exam within 18 months of employment.
• Must have or obtain BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (sponsorship not available).
• Flexible schedule; ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up of the hemodialysis machine.
• Greet patients and collect treatment details; report concerns to lead nurse.
• Prepare patient’s vascular access for treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis per policies.
• Record patient vital signs before/during/after treatment.
• Document fluid removal and monitor patient safety.
• Monitor dialysis machine for malfunctions and report findings.
• Maintain infection control and PPE usage.
• Assist with patient mobility and daily living activities.
• Work across clinics as needed per inter-facility policy.
