Job summary

Health Systems Management is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) at the High Point Kidney Center in High Point, NC. This full-time role supports dialysis treatment under RN supervision, with a requirement of at least 6 months of healthcare or direct patient care experience and the plan to obtain CCHT certification within 18 months.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, opportunity for training across clinics, and a typical 36-40 hour workweek during training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 6 months of healthcare or direct patient care experience required.
• Must pass the CCHT exam within 18 months of first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Set up the hemodialysis machine.
• Greet patients and collect treatment details; report concerns to the lead nurse.
• Prepare the patient's vascular access for treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis per policies and standards of care.
• Record vital signs before, during, and after dialysis treatments; document in medical record.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort; assist with infection control and PPE usage.
• Note exposure to blood and needles and potential need for lifting and moving equipment.
