Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support dialysis treatment and patient care in a nonprofit setting.

The PCT will work within an interdisciplinary team, perform vital tasks under RN supervision, and participate in a structured 36-hour workweek with three 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift, starting early morning. This role includes paid training, broad benefits, and a patient-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Desire to collaborate with care teams.
• Ability to problem solve in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
