Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our dialysis treatment teams. The role involves assisting with patient care, monitoring vital signs, and helping ensure safe, high-quality outcomes under RN supervision.

The clinic offers a 12-week paid training program, comprehensive benefits, and a mission-driven culture. Three 10-hour shifts with Sundays off are provided, starting early in the morning, in a comfortable clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom sessions and one-on-one training.
• Dialysis experience not required; job shadow opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
