Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the dialysis team in delivering high‑quality care to patients with end-stage renal disease. The role involves pre/post‑treatment tasks, patient education, vital signs, and infection control under RN supervision.

Training is provided and prior dialysis experience is not required. The position offers full-time hours with two 12‑hour shifts and two 8‑hour shifts starting at 6am, Sundays off, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom sessions and one-on-one skills training
• Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
• Role under RN supervision
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
• Insert and remove patient access needles
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight
• Determine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights
• Maintain and track inventory
• Perform laboratory work
