Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Certified Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our nonprofit mission and deliver high-quality care in a clinical setting. This full-time role starts with three 13.3-hour shifts at 4am, Sundays off, and no overnight work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program including classroom sessions and hands-on skills training.
• Dialysis experience not required; job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis and inform charge nurse of concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload.
• Maintain professional relationships and patient privacy rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
